New Summerfield Elementary students performed outstanding at the recent 22AA UIL Competition. We placed 2nd overall as a district! Congratulations to our students, teams and coaches for a job well done!
The Thanksgiving Feast was a success as always, due to a wonderful cafeteria staff preparing the meal and so many family members coming to eat with us! Thank you to all who participated. It was truly heartwarming to see you yesterday. Here are a few pictures I was able to take.
The Hornets will be quite busy heading into the Thanksgiving Holidays. Beginning tonight, we will have our Alumni Soccer games beginning at 6:00 p.m. Tomorrow we will begin our annual basketball tournament (which goes through Saturday) and we will also host our annual Thanksgiving Feast (speak with your student for specific times for their lunches).
National Honor Society students helped out in the cafeteria today! They iced 1000 cupcakes to be eaten at the Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday. They look so pretty!
Update: The soccer Alumni game has been moved to Wednesday, starting at 6pm.
Tyler Junior College will be at New Summerfield High School on Wednesday, December 4 at 5:30 p.m. to help complete the FAFSA and TASFA financial aid forms. Both parents and students must be present to finalize the financial aid forms. ACE will provide dinner for all who attend.
Update: Today's basketball games against Athens Prep will start at 5:30 PM. The Lady Hornets will play first followed by the Hornets.
New Summerfield I.S.D. offers an online course to students 12 years old and older regarding the hazards of digital bullying and sexting. Prior approval by parents is needed before students can gain access to the course. Great day for New Summerfield Cross Country Teams. Varsity Boys finished in first place, Varsity Girls 2nd place, and both JV teams finished in first place! The Varsity teams will be competing at the Regional Meet on October 21st in Huntsville. Great job by all of our runners!
