My name is Brandee Wofford. I am currently the District Nurse for over 500 students including Pre-K/Headstart through High School. I am licensed as a Registered Nurse.

I maintain student health information, including immunization status, for all the students at New Summerfield ISD. I perform vision and hearing examinations on the following grades every year: Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and teacher referrals for students who they believe may have a vision or hearing problem. I also perform spinal screenings on the 5th and 8th graders every year, and any other students who may have a spinal problem. I administer medication when it is sent to school properly (please see Medication tab to the left for more information about how to properly send medication to school). I also administer first aid to the students and am readily available for any emergencies anywhere on campus. I help provide resources to students with healthcare needs such as where they can see a dentist, doctor, eye specialist, where they can get an immunization, and information about different types of insurance. I am the current Co-Chair of the school's health advisory council, a group that tries to continually improve the health of the students, staff and families in our district.
