Dr. Wilcox currently serves as Director of Curriculum, Federal and Special Programs, and Testing Coordinator at New Summerfield I. S. D.  He started his career in teaching at New Summerfield High School, and has also taught in the Rusk Independent School District. His professional work experiences, from a Business perspective, include the fields of Forecast Analyses and Customer Service Management. In addition, he teaches evening courses for adult based education programs, as well as customized courses for area businesses. Dr. Wilcox holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Agribusiness from Stephen F. Austin State University, a Master’s of Education in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Tyler, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University.

From a professional/scholarship perspective, his primary research interests include teacher turnover, authenticity, and intrinsic development.
