Junior Historians Mission: Students will learn the history of Texas in a hands-on manner. Students are offered an opportunity to think outside the class through creating new and personal experiences. After-school hours are used to organize fund raisers. This develops responsibility within the students, helps in letting them earn the teachers' trust, and allows them to feel satisfied and rewarded.

Junior Historians will tour areas of Texas by visiting Austin and San Antonio. Stops along the way will be the Capitol building in Austin, the Buckhorn Museum and Saloon, the Alamo, and the scenic San Antonio River Walk. Students will raise more than $12,000 as a whole group to pay for all hotels, food, chartered buses, and entrance fees.
